Last year I had the chance to review the brand new Polar V800 GPS multi-sport training watch and over the course of the few weeks I had it, really fell in love. Having only ever run with another brand of GPS watch, it was really cool to try something new, with so many features and that was so easy to use. I was smitten.

My affair with the demo V800 was short-lived however, I sent it back but missed it dearly.

It’s like we were truly meant to be together though because I was recently offered the chance to join the Polar Global family as a product ambassador! Naturally, I jumped at the chance and am so honoured to be amongst their community of elite and recreational athletes using, sharing and loving their products.

As part of my contract I chose to receive my very own V800 and was so excited to have it arrive on my door step. One of the things I loved right away about this watch is that it’s more than just a multi-sport training watch. It’s also a daily activity tracker, sleep monitor and in such a sharp colour, something I found myself wanting to wear all the time.

I love that my training watch isn’t just my training watch anymore. Yes, it’s my best friend out on my runs but it’s also part of my every day and I love when people notice it and ask me about it. I’ve been doing a lot of talking about Polar with friends and runners lately and that’s just a starting point. As part of their ambassador program I’ll be sharing Polar news across my social media channels and you’ll see more about Polar here on my blog too.

And now that I have my very own V800, I’ve been learning all about it’s full range of features, for both running and otherwise. The demo unit I tried was great but didn’t have all features functional yet so it’s pretty cool getting to know and love everything it can actually do. I’ll be sharing more about that along the way so that you can get to know the V800 and what sorts of things you can expect from this and other Polar products.

So, now that my 2015 seems to be getting back on track again, I can finally jump in and put this blue beauty through it’s paces! If you don’t already, you can follow Polar on Twitter at @polarglobal, find them on Facebook at or visit their website at
